Chrome for Android adds ‘Follow’ Button for Websites

.Follow and Discover: Google is adding a ‘Follow’ button to Chrome for Android. This is currently available in the Canary version of Chrome.

Follow and Discover

Google already lets you follow specific topics using the Google app. You will also see the ‘Discover’ feed on your Chrome new tab page on Android.

Recently, Google added options to share and like the content on the Discover feed. Now, the recent Canary channel update brings a ‘Follow’ option.
I could not get the Follow option to work. However, this is expected because the feature is still in the early stages of development.

Surprisingly, there were no Chrome Flags to enable to get this working. The only way to find out how these options works is to wait for upcoming Chrome Canary releases and try it out.

Is Google quietly building a replacement for Google Reader? A mashup of Twitter, RSS feeds, and other content discovery options?
