Ukraine, an Eastern European country with a rich cultural heritage and linguistic history is a perfect illustration of this. The majority of Ukrainians are to some degree bilingual in Ukrainian and Russian.

Since the time of its independence in 1991, Ukraine has sought to create a sovereign state while also trying to establish closer relations with Western institutions, such as the European Union and NATO. The internal divisions in Ukraine make this much more challenging.

The Orange Revolution, a popular protest in 2011, was able to remove President Viktor Yanukovych from office and caused a wave in political protests. This political shift led to the elections of Victory Yushchenko.

Ukrainians are from a variety of religious and ethnic groups. Most are Orthodox Christians, but there are Roman Rite Catholics, Protestants, Jews and Muslims.

Ukrainian cuisine is known for its use of vegetables as well as grains. This is due to Ukraine has some of the world’s finest soils to grow a range of vegetables and crops.

It is a popular dish. Ukrainian pierogi is a popular recipe. It can be baked or fried, with a potato, egg and flour filling. They can be filled with any combination of cheese, sour cream , or minced meat.

Holubtsi can be stuffed with pork, meat or other vegetables. It is also possible to be cooked in a variety of methods. It is possible to serve them as a side dish or main courses and they are usually served alongside sauces, stews, or soups.
